Hey girls! I know many of you have been a buzz over at the Vintage Sheet Blog this past week. Isn't it fabulous! Well, right away I was super excited about the 10 minute tutorial on pillowcase aprons! They make the perfect little vendor aprons!
Here is the link to the tutorial.
Well this afternoon, I finally took a half an hour to finish some from the pillowcases I had pulled out after reading this post. I did two cottage style from beautifully embroidered pillowcases and one retro flower power style! I used vintage linens for the tie as well. I also left the pllowcase open for extra pockets.
This one is my favorite! I love the orange in it. I made the tie with a simple 6 inch wide strip and simply folded it and ironed it like binding. I slipped the top edge of the pillowcase into the binding and top stitched it.
Here is the other embroidered case. It was fun to find just the right fabric to match the design. Sweet and delicate.
And for the hippie at heart. Here is a wild flower power print. I actually added a border to the top of the pocket because there were flaws that needed to be covered up. Love the quick fixes.
I love the purple one.Pansies are one of my favorite flowers. When I get some money, I'll have to be on the look out for some darling pillowcases. What a lovely idea. Thanks for sharing though i am green with envy. lol

ReplyDeleteSuch cute aprons. I love the "vendor" style and your sheets are just perfect!
ReplyDeleteNice aprons! I love the dark green one - I have that same print in red, and hadn't seen any other colors of it until now. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteI love the red in this print! I have run across it a few times-red is not easy to find. There is also a blue in this print as well;)
